Peter Ronn - President & CEO

Peter Ronn

As Founder and CEO, Peter oversees all major project requirements and initial specifications. Peter's experiences makes him uniquely qualified to engage the avionics industry for inflight media having worked initially with Spafax Airline Network Ltd. in a variety of management positions in the UK, Canada and the USA, followed by a stint with Airshow Systems (now Rockwell Collins) in business development in Europe and the Middle East.

Peter holds a degree in business management and economics from McGill University, Montreal.

Sarah Fitzmaurice - Managing Director

Sarah Fitzmaurice

Sarah has managed content and software development projects for a variety of major airlines as well as airline system hardware vendor Thales. As Managing Director of FLM, Sarah has been instrumental in assembling a team in Vancouver dedicated to the development of passenger applications for onboard interactive systems.

On an industry level Sarah has been a member and coordinator of the WAEA educational committee lining up key note speakers and moderating discussion panels.

Prior to Flight Level Media Sarah was a managing partner at Bolero Art & Design doing business with Canadian Airlines. Sarah holds a Publishing Diploma as well as Business Management Program training from the University of Toronto.

Cathy Hayes - Product Manager

Cathy Hayes

Cathy has had a wide-ranging career in sales & marketing in the telecom, real estate investment, apparel and wholesale industries. With her strong entrepreneurial spirit and web-based marketing savvy, Cathy brings a strong perspective to Flight Level Media and the products we develop for airlines and their passengers in the emerging era of connectivity.

Since 2005 Cathy has been managing software projects and business development at FLM. Moving forward, Cathy will assume the role of Product Manager taking on the responsibilities of planning & marketing.

Cathy holds a psychology degree from the University of British Columbia.

Adam Smith - Director, Design & Usability

Adam Smith

Since 1992, Adam has been a professional software designer in consumer software, professional systems and Web development.

Prior to Flight Level Media, Adam Smith was involved in projects for Telus Communications, Inscriber Technology, OpenCola/Steelbridge as well as Datapanik Software. In addition, Adam developed the curriculum and taught three courses in UI design and usability for Web development at Centennial College in Toronto, Ontario.

Adam left a position as interaction designer for Telus Communications consumer-facing Web sites (Western Canada's largest telecommunications company) to join Flight Level Media. He has been a user centred designer and usability specialist across a range of industries and clients, including Sony Consumer Electronics, Inscriber, and various arts and music organisations. He taught user interface design and usability at Centennial College in Toronto and continues to be in demand as a speaker on the topic.

He is passionate about music, is a professional photographer, and reads cognitive science textbooks for fun.

Chris Cummer - Technical Director

Chris Cummer

As a software developer and all-around general technical geek Chris has twelve years experience developing network-based end-user applications using W3-compliant web standards and established distributed networking protocols and technologies. Chris is also highly buzzword-compliant, as you can see.

Prior to joining Flight Level Media Chris was a Media Communications and English dual-major at York University in Toronto, switching to software development upon discovery of the Mac SE and HyperCard. Since then Chris has held senior development positions at three internet start-up companies including Mackerel Interactive and OpenCola, currently acts in an advisory position on a smattering of others, and was lead developer at CHUM Television, a major Canadian news media corporation.

At Flight Level Media Chris is responsible for ensuring that all the magnetic particles are properly aligned on their respective platters before heading out the door.
